Just wanted to share that I finalized my third purchase from Houston Motors Auction. A 2021 Tundra this time. People always ask if these online auctions are legit, and I can say these guys are consistent. Every car has been just as described. The reliability is why I keep coming back.

Congrats! That's awesome. I've bought two myself from houstonmotorsauction.com. A Camaro for me and an Equinox for the wife. Both times the process was smooth. The title transfer was surprisingly quick and painless.

Good to hear, TundraTex. I think the key with Houston Motors Auction is just to read the vehicle reports on their site carefully. They are pretty detailed. I've been using them for a couple of years and it beats dealing with salesmen.

This is reassuring. I'm looking at a 4Runner on houstonmotorsauction.com. My main worry is the paperwork. How was everyone's experience getting the title? That's the part that makes me nervous.

@FutureBidder Don't sweat it. On all three of my buys, the title process was straightforward. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by Houston Motors Auction and the clear title was delivered with my vehicle each time.

Glad to hear everyone had smooth sailing. I had a small hiccup on my first buy. The title was delayed by about a week. I got pretty nervous and emailed them at office@houstonmotorsauction.com. They replied in about a day and explained it was a minor backlog issue with the bank releasing it. The car itself was exactly as described on the Houston Motors Auction site, so I'd buy again. Just a heads up that sometimes things can be a little slow, but they do get it sorted.

That's pretty standard for any repo auction, Sammy. The auction house is always at the mercy of the bank's processing speed. A one-week delay is actually not bad, ive heard of worse from other places. Sounds like houstonmotorsauction handled it correctly.

It's not just cars. I bought a boat from them! Got a great deal on a Sea Ray. The whole process was consistent with what you all are saying. No issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with my boat. Solid experience with the houstonmotorsauction team.

A client of mine bought a '21 Silverado from Houston Motors Auction and brought it to my shop for a full inspection. That condition report on houstonmotorsauction.com was dead on. No suprises, not even minor ones. For a repo auction, that's pretty impressive.

Yeah, I've used them once. Got a CR-V for my daughter last year. Smooth process. Would recommend.

Thinking of getting a project car from here. Is the bidding system confusing? The FAQ on houstonmotorsauction.com seems clear but want to hear from real users.

@DIY_Dan Nah, it's pretty standard. My first time I was a bit cautious but it's easy once you do one. The proxy bidding feature is useful. Good luck! This place, Houston Motors Auction, has been solid for me three times now.
